Parks and Recreation Improvements

Two people discussed ideas to improve parks and recreation facilities. Specific ideas for improvements include: close in the Shelter House to make it a year-round facility, put in a fire place with a BBQ rack that has a metal topping so it cannot be destroyed, rent out the Shelter House to finance park buildings, and put in more items for children.

The new Shelter House is a nice addition to our community, but, why didn't they think before they put supporting posts right in front of the stage risers?????

Here is what happened:
The shelter house was designed on the same template used at Harrodsburg which also has the beams.
This is an unfortunate oversight but from what I am hearing, there are plans to rectify that problem and give the stage a true proscenium.

Use of video recording of the grounds would be a great deterent to bad & destructive behavior. Cameras with high focus lens on the current/new service building would provide good coverage. Digital recording has dropped the price quite a bit. Time to make things around here secure & give the police some video that they can use.
